Synopsis

The story of the greatest explorer of the Americas. At the turn of the 19th century, Alexander von Humboldt began a 5-year scientific expedition to the New World. Traveling over dangerous waters, dry deserts, and treacherous mountains, Humboldt documented the environment, geography and cultures. Humboldt changed our understanding of nature and was the first person to write about climate change.
